Focused on Gold Exploration Jiminex Inc. is focused on the exploration and development of gold deposits in Canada. It's current emphasis is on exploration of the Parres Property, Manitoba (see below) with future work also planned for the Northern Eagle and the Misehkow River gold properties located, respectively, in the well-known Hemlo and Pickle Lake gold regions of Northwestern Ontario, Canada.
To June 2010, Jiminex remains well-financed for the first stages of exploration at Snow Lake and elsewhere. Click for video interview with James R. B. Parres President & CEO
Parres Property Near Lalor Lake Discovery at Snow Lake, Manitoba In October 2009, Jiminex acquired the Parres Property, named after prospector Christopher Parres who discovered gold nearby in 1925, located in the noted Snow Lake gold and copper-zinc mining camp of Manitoba. This 39.71 square km property straddles a 4 km stretch along Highway 393 and follows the mine stratigraphy between the former Stall/Rod copper-zinc and the Osborne copper-zinc mines. The Lalor Lake copper-zinc and gold deposit was recently discovered by HudBay Minerals Inc. 20 km southwest of the Parres Property in a very similar geological environment (Link to CBC Video on Snow Lake Discovery). Also, the New Britannia Gold Mine is located about 15 km southwest of the Parres Property in a similar geological environment. In January 2010, the Company staked the Parres Two Property located one km west of the Parres Property, and further expanded it in February, to cover an area of 14.67 sq. km. Jiminex has completed a Mega VTEV35 and magnetic airborne survey and has selected drill targets. Rodren Drilling Ltd. of Manitoba has been contracted to diamond drill the targets selected from the geophysical survey, the drilling expected to begin in July 2010. Northern Eagle the Next Mega-Ounce Gold Deposit.....Hemlo 2 ? The Northern Eagle Gold Property is situated nearby to the 21 million ounce Hemlo gold deposit currently being mined by Barrick Gold Corporation. This property consisting of 293 claim units (46.9 sq. km) represents the best target area in the mining camp in which to locate another Hemlo-style gold deposit. Northern Eagle is essentially untested by drilling to depths which contain most of the Hemlo gold deposit. Caracle Creek International Consulting Inc has recently completed an interactive Gocad computer geotechnical data model which will be used to select target areas for deep-penetrating geophysical surveys and diamond drilling in the late second to third quarter of 2010.
